River of Arts 2017
River of Arts is a free tour of art ateliers and exhibitions, promoted by Sesc [são paulo social service of commerce] during a weekend in the city of Piracicaba, in the countryside of São Paulo state. More than 100 local artists have their works exposed and have provided workshops and lectures. The visual identity of the event is formed by stencil letters embedded in coloured rectangular vertical tiles. They have a ludic and naïve atmosphere, similar to the work of local artists. Its structure is inspired by the very vertical proportions designs of windows and doors of the colonial architecture
existing in the city. In addition to the visual identity, this commission involved the creation of a map for the event.
