While writing A arte de produzir efeito sem causa [The art of producing effect without a cause], Lourenço Mutarelli illustrated the frenzy of his character by drawing complex charts with a ballpoint pen. these drawings composed a set of more than ten sketchbooks, the starting point for this edition’s graphic design. the format of the book seeks to mimic the sketchbooks by keeping their exact proportions. images were freely extracted from them, reworked and presented as part of the design. Designed with kiko farkas from Máquina Estúdio.
