In 2018 I accepted the invitation of editor-in-chief Daniela Pinheiro to be the art editor Época, a news magazine which was moving to big changes in graphic design and content, in order to re-adjust to the present days when mass media print became less sold. The new Época envisions to re-found what is a weekly magazine in Brazil. Investigations, analysis, major reporting, criticism and sarcasm, the news seen from less obvious ways. The graphic design is direct, clean and neutral. Its basic elements — two typographies and images — are equated to transmit the message in the best possible way. In general, our team try to create strong compositions with as few elements as possible.
