The extinction of the bees
The book narrates a dystopian near future where climatic conditions impose challenges such as exclusion zones, lack of jobs, hunger. The protagonists, a mother and a daughter, live their separated journeys permeated by escape and abandonment. The author suggested the work of visual artist Vânia Mignone as a visuality that may symbolizes the feeling of her book. My choice for the approved cover is a painting that may represent this collapsing world and the book central ideas of loneliness and escape.
